Through a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service grant, we are restoring riparian and upland habitats within the San Vicente Creek Watershed. This work focuses on improving wildlife habitat and movement corridors by reducing invasive, non-native vegetation and re-establishing diverse native plant communities. Alongside the on-the-ground restoration, we are committed to sharing conservation resources and practical restoration approaches with neighboring land stewards.

The first year of the project is complete, with extensive native plantings and ongoing invasive weed management now in place. Over the past year, we have also hosted hands-on workshops covering seed collection, native habitat restoration, and long-term land stewardship. Through this effort, we hope to help spark broader conservation work in the region, including exploring pathways for community land trusts that support private landowners in San Diego County who want to actively contribute to wildlife conservation.
